Two weeks and one and a half transformations later, here's the white jumper!

(Ok. I just realized the title on my last post is crazy. It's supposed to be "Jump to It!"...Y'all coulda told me! But I'll leave it, cause I like how it looks. :-)

The pieces hanging in the back are the ends of the make shift belt tied around my waist. Also, the person who'll be wearing this is much taller than I am , so her leg length will take up some of the excess vertical baggage that I'm holding up.

Whew! This was my first time making a jump suit, and working with this white, fragile fabric may have ruined any future considerations I may have had for making another.

Probably not, though. :-)

Jmpt to It!*

I'm in the process of creating a white version of this for someone...

...and decided to transform this pattern (pink version) by McCall's to be suitable for the above style.



Not only because I wasn't in the mood for making a jumpsuit pattern from scratch (which is likely due to the fact that I was never given the person's exact measurements ), but also because it's a good exercise in pattern transformation. Store-bought patterns usually annoy me to no end, so I'm game for disregarding their rules and doing my own thing.

Dance With Me!

Those of you following me on Facebook already know how thrilled I am about this.

This was made for my friend Janine. It was her idea. I just brought it to life. My first time making tiered skirts (I made her a brown as well), and I'm very pleased with the outcome.

*siiigh* love. It makes me wanna twirl and dance around and around!

Every now and then a song'll come along and just hit me like....BAM!!!

This one by Fantasia is one of those. I love it. Something about the beat and the way the song flows that moves me everytime. O.k. I know it's not new, but thankfully they don't wear out on the radio here, so each time I hear it on there it's like a treat.
